Why Victorinox?

In short, Karl Elsener opened his own cutler's business in Ibach-Schwyz. The energy for running the grinding and the polishing machines was supplied by a waterwheel driven by the Tobelbach stream and in 1897 on June 12th, the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife was patented.

In order to distinguish it from copies, the company founder decides to use the cross and shield, the current Victorinox emblem, on all pocket knives from then on. Following the death of his mother, the company founder chooses her first name Victoria as the name of the company, and in 1921 Stainless steel is invented (also known as 'inox' for short). By combining inox with Victoria, the new brand Victorinox is created.

To this day Victorinox has stood for Quality. From Laptop bags to Wallets and Suitcases all feature the true brand standards underpinning the future and marketplace position so truly deserved.

The full range of products is extensive and diverse and we optimally stock popular and key lines and fulfil all orders in the allotted timescale. Some items we are out of stock on some occasions, but this is generally no more than a few days.
